Founded in 2009 by a passionate group of students, Swastik Society was born out of a desire to create meaningful change in society. Our mission is to empower the marginalized and disadvantaged sectors of society, particularly women, through the holistic development of both human and natural resources, fostering socio-economic advancement and inclusivity.
At Swastik Society, we believe in the power of education, awareness, community involvement, and collective action as the catalysts for social and economic transformation. We see every community as a wellspring of potential, capable of tremendous growth when equipped with the right skills and knowledge.

At Swastik Society, we’ve evolved through various approaches, from charity to development to rights-based initiatives. Our journey has taught us that in a diverse country like ours, a single approach cannot address the complex socio-economic challenges we face. This realization led us to create the Model Development Approach.
In this approach, we thoroughly analyze problems to understand their root causes. We then develop and demonstrate comprehensive solutions that address all dimensions of these complex social issues simultaneously. To ensure the effectiveness of our models, we meticulously document and disseminate our processes. We emphasize detailed planning, strict implementation, and regular monitoring to ensure we stay on track and adapt as needed.
Our belief is simple: without the right processes, true change cannot be achieved. This is why we have pioneered the community-based mechanism. This innovative system involves brainstorming sessions with stakeholders at the community level, ensuring we collectively achieve the desired impact over time. By involving each stakeholder and setting their accountability in advance and rigorously pursuing desired expectation, we ensure that every stakeholder experiences the change we aim for, leading to a significant and lasting impact on the community.

Meet Ms. Pallavi Dixit, Programme Manager
Ms. Pallavi Dixit, the Programme Manager at Swastik Society, leads our program implementation efforts. With over a decade of experience in the development sector, she has contributed to organizations like Save the Children and LVPEI, Hyderabad. Ms. Dixit excels in project conceptualization, proposal development, planning, coordination, monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
Her expertise spans Community Eye Health, Personality Development, Mentoring, Soft Skills, and Skill Development. Her extensive knowledge and hands-on experience are crucial to advancing our mission and driving impactful initiatives
Meet Mr Jignesh Damor, Field Coordinator
Jignesh Damor is an experienced social worker with a robust background in community development, legal education, and rural planning. He has worked with various organizations, including Kotda Tribal Institute, Sampurna Jeevan Vikas Samiti, Church’s Auxiliary for Social Action, Aajeevika Bureau, and The YP Foundation, where he held positions ranging from Area Animator to Senior Associate and Fellowship Trainer. Jignesh’s expertise includes communication, problem-solving, team management, and leadership. He holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor’s in Education, Mass Communications, and Commerce, as well as a Master’s in Social Work. Fluent in Hindi, English, and Gujarati, he is known for his adaptability, self-motivation, and deep understanding of local communities.
